How to Polish Limestone, Limestone Polishing Heaton Moor

Limestone floors are very popular due to its natural look and durability as it doesn’t suffer from the constant pitting which is very common with travertine and the softer stones.

This Limestone tile was a free test sample for a customer who had had the tiles laid but was not too impressed with the finish. They felt that the tiles In its honed and dull state did not show off it’s full beauty. The tile is below.

As a result the customer asked Imperial Floor Care if they could polish the limestone tile and make it a mirror finish. The tile below was polished using diamond floor pads known as cheetah pads. This system uses only water and diamonds and no harsh chemicals or polishing powders were used.
